LADY GROVER'S FUND
Cash grants towards Nursing, Hospital and Home Help for Officers' Families
Eligibility
Those eligible to apply for membership of the Fund are:1. Any Officer who holds or has held a full-time commission in the U.K. Armed Forces or associated Nursing Services for a minimum of five years, including any officer who has a legally recognised civil partnership.
2. The widow/widower of any of the Officers mentioned above, provided that at the date of application she or he had not attained the age of 55 or remarried.
3. The widow/widower of any of the Officers mentioned above having at the date of application attained the age of 65, provided that her husband/his wife was a member of the Fund at any time during the two years prior to application for membership and she/he has not remarried.
4. The divorced wife/husband of any of the Officers mentioned above provided that at the date of application she/he has not attained the age of 55 or remarried. (65 if the husband/wife was previously a member)
5. The unmarried daughter/son of any of the above-mentioned Officers, provided that at the date of application she/he has not attained the age of 50, and that the deceased parent on whom she/he had been dependent had been a member of the Fund at any time during the two years prior to her/his application for membership.
A widow/widower, divorced wife/husband, or unmarried son/daughter who having become a member of the Fund subsequently remarries must inform the Administrator, and may only continue as a member at the Committee's discretion.
Members under categories numbered 2 - 5 are entitled to claim benefit in their own right.
Exclusions
- Officers are not themselves eligible for benefit.
- Maternity, mental and chronic conditions are ineligible.
- No person may be covered by more than one membership.
